Brief

To divide the open space of a former industrial building into public and private zones while keeping the scale and character of the loft.

Solution

Two modular cells. "Creators" are workstations inside light timber lattice structures. "Meeting rooms" are separate volumes for meetings that can be arranged in the open hall in various combinations.

Materials and setting

Natural wood and openwork lattice soften the rough texture of the industrial walls. The cells separate without cutting off from the main hall, so focused work and collaboration coexist in one space.

Zoning without walls

Modular cells divide an open space into public and private zones and create a comfortable working microclimate. For former industrial buildings this is a way to add functionality while keeping the scale and character of the place.

Light timber lattice structures zone the space while keeping a sense of airiness. The openwork texture softens the rough industrial walls, and natural wood adds warmth to the minimalist interior.

In this environment focused work and joint discussions complement each other.
