Brief

To find a single facade identity for a large mixed-use complex that brings together offices, a hotel, a stadium and sports spaces.

Solution

Two volumes of different heights are set at an angle to each other. A fine grid of verticals and horizontals unites the different functions into one recognisable silhouette.

IdeaThe facade as a frame

One grid for many functions

The complex gathers offices, a hotel, public spaces and sport under one envelope. The facade grid becomes a common language for all these functions. It sets rhythm, scale and order while remaining light and transparent.

In the evening the glazing glows from within, and the building becomes a landmark for the district.
