Brief

To bring sport and city life together in one building: padel courts, a street basketball court, a café, shops and public areas, plus landscaping of the surrounding site.

Solution

A single-storey volume with a pitched roof keeps the scale of the surrounding buildings. Panoramic glazing makes the building light and opens the games and life inside to passers-by.

Materials and setting

A bright interior with balconies over the playing areas, a café overlooking the courts, a plaza with water and planting at the entrance.

Sport and city under one roof

The complex combines two functions: modern sports infrastructure and a public space with a café and retail, open to local residents.

A single-storey volume with a pitched roof keeps the scale of the surrounding buildings and sits calmly in the urban landscape.

Panoramic glazing lightens the mass of the building and connects the activity inside with the street. Passers-by watch the games on the courts, and visitors remain part of city life.
